MegaGroup Logistics Services (MGLS), our European Distribution Center, plays a critical role in ensuring efficient and reliable supply chain operations across our network. 

As an Assistant Team lead, you support the Team lead in coordinating the daily warehouse operation. You help organize the workflow, distribute tasks, give clear instructions, monitor quality and progress, and act as a first point of contact for warehouse employees. During the Team lead’s absence, you step in to help keep the operation running smoothly and efficiently. You work closely with colleagues across inbound, outbound, packing, consolidation, and outdoor activities to ensure orders and goods are processed on time, accurately, and safely. 

This role is based in our Outdoor Department, where you'll spend a significant part of your day working outside. If you enjoy being active in the fresh air and don't mind the variety of weather conditions that come with the seasons, we'd love to hear from you! 

WE COUNT ON YOU TO 

• Support the Team lead in coordinating daily warehouse activities across inbound, outbound, packing, consolidation, and outdoor operations. 

• Distribute tasks, give clear work instructions, and help organize the daily workflow on the floor. 

• Monitor progress, quality, and productivity, and take practical action when operational issues arise. 

• Perform quality and quantity checks on goods and ensure activities are properly registered in the WMS system. 

• Support the timely, accurate, and complete handling of shipments, follow-up shipments, returns, and order preparation. 

• Act as a point of contact for warehouse employees and help guide, coach, and introduce new colleagues. 

• Identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities, and support the Teamlead on practical improvements to tasks, procedures, layout, and collaboration. 

• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized working environment while ensuring compliance with safety rules and company procedures. 

• Help resolve disruptions in automation and logistical systems, escalating where needed. 

• Step in for the Team lead during absence to support continuity in the daily operation. 

WHAT YOU BRING

• MBO level 3 or 4 education, preferably in Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field. 

• Experience in a warehouse, logistics, or distribution environment, ideally with first experience coordinating colleagues or acting as a senior operator. 

• Good understanding of warehouse processes such as inbound, order picking, packing, consolidation, shipment preparation, and returns. 

• Experience working with a WMS system and the ability to register information accurately. 

• Clear communication skills and the ability to give instructions, support colleagues, and keep overview during busy moments. 

• A hands-on mindset, practical problem-solving skills, and a strong focus on safety, quality, and efficiency. 

• Experience operating a forklift and/or reach truck, or willingness to obtain certification. 

• Fluent in English. If you speak Dutch as well, it’s a great plus!
