Purpose of the role


As Manager Demand & Supply Planning, you play a key role in optimizing our integrated planning processes across regions. Your focus is on aligning demand, supply, and financial objectives to support customer satisfaction, healthy inventory levels, and operational efficiency. You will lead the development and implementation of a robust Integrated Business Planning process, fostering collaboration across sales, marketing, procurement, operations, and finance.

In this role, you manage a team that oversees the entire value chain—from supplier to customer. The goal: ensure optimal stock availability to meet customer needs while avoiding excess inventory.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership

  • Lead and develop the planning team

  • Build towards a High Performance Team (HPT)

Integrated Business Planning Process Ownership

  • Design and implement the Integrated Business Planning process across regions and at group level

  • Lead the monthly Integrated Business Planning cycle, covering demand forecasting, supply planning, inventory, financial integration, and executive approval

  • Maintain planning models and reports aligned with business objectives

  • Chair Integrated Business Planning meetings to ensure cross-functional alignment

Demand Forecasting & Planning

  • Work closely with sales and marketing to gather and analyze demand data

  • Create accurate demand forecasts reflecting market trends and seasonality

  • Identify risks and opportunities, and propose solutions to balance supply and demand

Supply & Inventory Planning

  • Align supply planning with demand forecasts in collaboration with operations and procurement

  • Develop inventory strategies to maintain service levels while minimizing excess and obsolescence

  • Improve lead times, supplier collaboration, and supply chain resilience

Performance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement

  • Track key KPIs such as forecast accuracy, inventory turnover, and delivery performance

  • Use data to drive continuous improvement in the Integrated Business Planning process

  • Foster a culture of ownership and operational excellence

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communication

  • Act as a key link between commercial, operational, and financial teams

  • Present Integrated Business Planning outcomes and strategic recommendations to senior leadership

  • Integrate the planning process with long-term strategic and financial planning

Job requirements

What You Bring

Education

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Operations, or a related field

  • APICS certification (CPIM, CSCP) or equivalent is a plus

Experience

  • 5+ years in supply chain planning, demand management, or Integrated Business Planning leadership

  • Proven success in leading cross-functional planning processes

  • Skilled in forecasting tools, ERP systems, Excel, and/or BI tools

Skills & Competencies

  • Analytical thinker with strong data interpretation skills

  • Excellent communicator and team leader

  • Strategic mindset with strong execution capabilities

  • Deep knowledge of inventory management, forecasting techniques, and Integrated Business Planning or Sales & Operations Planning

  • Familiarity with supply chain optimization tools (e.g., SLIM4, SAP APO, Kinaxis)
