Are you an experienced credit control leader who enjoys stepping into a hands-on role where you can make an immediate impact? Join us during an important growth and transition phase, where you will help shape the UK credit control function and support the finance team as we prepare to onboard additional businesses.

YOUR MISSION

MegaGroup Trade Holding is an international technical wholesaler specializing in water solutions that improve people’s lives. We take pride in addressing global water challenges and supporting sectors such as Irrigation, Livestock, Swimming pools, Building services, and industry.

Being a Head of UK Credit Control at MegaGroup Logistic Services UK, you will take ownership of credit control across four UK trading companies. You will work closely with the UK finance team across two sites, learn the systems and processes, and develop strategies to optimise collections, reduce overdue balances, and improve working capital. This is an important moment to join: you will come on the learning journey with the team, getting up to speed before additional businesses are onboarded, so you can help create structure and ensure the team is ready for the next phase. You will report directly to the Head of UK Finance and collaborate closely with Sales and Finance to balance commercial objectives with credit risk.

HOW YOU'LL DRIVE SUCCESS

  • Develop and implement the UK credit control strategy, policies, and ways of working across four trading companies.

  • Monitor customer accounts and drive timely payment of outstanding invoices.

  • Review aged debt reports, identify risks, and implement clear action plans to reduce overdue balances.

  • Assess customer creditworthiness and approve credit limits within delegated authority.

  • Manage escalated collection cases, disputes, and legal recovery processes when required.

  • Build strong relationships with customers, Sales, and Finance to resolve payment issues effectively.

  • Produce regular reporting on collections performance, debtor days, bad debt provisions, and cash flow forecasts.

  • Support the UK finance team during a period of business change by quickly learning current processes, identifying priorities, and helping create structure before additional businesses are onboarded.

  • Identify opportunities to improve credit control processes through automation, better reporting, and continuous improvement.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Extensive experience in credit control, ideally within a multi-entity or complex business environment.

  • Strong knowledge of credit risk assessment, collections management, aged debt reporting, and cash flow impact.

  • Excellent negotiation, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Strong financial and commercial acumen, with the ability to balance customer relationships and credit risk.

  • Analytical mindset with a practical, hands-on approach to problem solving and process improvement.

  • Confidence working with ERP (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and Microsoft Excel.

  • Experience working with multiple currencies is desirable but not essential.

  • Alignment with our core values: Client Obsession – Execution Excellence – Teamwork – Enjoy Together.

WHAT WE OFFER

  • The salary range for this role is £37,500–£40,000 gross per year, depending on experience.

  • Independent, versatile role in an international organization.

  • Personal development and career growth opportunities.

  • Training and coaching support.

  • Supportive team celebrating successes together.

  • Market-competitive salary, bonus scheme, pension plan, and a fun work environment.
