Become our new Supply Planning Lead!

Availability: Full-time

Location: Office-based in Veghel. Working from home is possible one day per week.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a supply chain professional who enjoys combining people leadership with hands-on planning responsibility. Around 50% of your time will be dedicated to managing your own supplier portfolio, replenishment activities, and inventory planning, while the other 50% focuses on leading daily planning operations, coaching colleagues, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and helping shape planning excellence across our fast-growing international organization.

YOUR MISSION

MegaGroup Trade Holding is an international technical wholesaler specializing in water solutions that improve people’s lives. We take pride in addressing global water challenges and supporting sectors such as Irrigation, Livestock, Swimming pools, Building services, and industry. 

MegaGroup Logistics Services (MGLS), our European Distribution Center, plays a critical role in ensuring efficient and reliable supply chain operations across our network. Being our Supply Planning Lead, you will play an instrumental role in translating strategic planning objectives into consistent operational execution while supporting the growth of the international planning organization. You will work closely with Supply Planners, Supply Expeditors, Demand Planning, Sales, Category Management, Operations, and Suppliers to ensure optimal product availability, healthy inventory levels, and a resilient supply chain. 

You report directly to the Head of Planning and act as the operational lead of planning team (5 FTE) in The Netherlands. 

HOW YOU'LL DRIVE SUCCESS

Lead the Team & Daily Operations 

  • Lead the day-to-day activities of the Supply Planning and Supply Expediting team. 

  • Coordinate planning priorities, workload, and resources to ensure smooth operations. 

  • Monitor operational performance and ensure planning activities are executed according to agreed service levels. 

  • Coach and support team members while acting as the first point of escalation for planning and supply issues. 

Manage Supply Planning 

  • Manage your own supplier portfolio, including purchasing, replenishment, and inventory planning. 

  • Translate demand forecasts into effective supply plans and proactively manage supply risks. 

  • Optimize inventory levels, product availability, and replenishment flows across our warehouses. 

  • Act as the first escalation point for operational planning issues and supply disruptions.   

Drive Continuous Improvement 

  • Maintain key planning parameters (e.g. MOQ, lead times, safety stock), aligning with suppliers and category managers. 

  • Manage and improve replenishment and intercompany flows between warehouses using our advanced planning system Slim4.  

  • Support the S&OP process and drive continuous improvement in planning processes, systems, and ways of working across our European locations. 

  • Support the Head of Planning in implementing strategic supply chain initiatives. 

 

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, or Business Economics  

  • Several years of experience Supply Chain Planning, or a similar role (experience in a technical wholesale or retail environment is a plus)  

  • Demonstrated experience coaching or leading colleagues, either formally or informally.  

  • Strong knowledge of inventory management and forecasting techniques 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills  

  • Collaborative team player  

  • Process-oriented and structured way of working  

  • Ability to perform well in a dynamic, fast-paced environment  

  • Detail-oriented with a data-driven mindset  

  • Proactive attitude and sense of ownership  

  • Affinity with ERP and supply chain planning systems 

  • Strong communication skills. Fluent in Dutch and English.

BONUS POINTS

  • Experience with S&OP processes. 

  • Experience with planning and forecasting systems (e.g. Slim4, SAP IBP, Kinaxis, or similar). 

  • Experience with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365.
