As our new Service Engineer at Anchor Pumps Ltd., one of Megagroup Trade Holdings' subsidiaries, you can contribute to this mission.

Anchor Pumps specializes in the supply and distribution of pumps and pumping equipment. They provide a comprehensive selection of products from renowned brands, serving diverse sectors such as water supply, sewage management, and HVAC systems. With a strong focus on quality and reliability, Anchor Pumps caters to both domestic and commercial markets, offering solutions that meet various industrial needs for efficient fluid handling and management. The work environment at Anchor Pumps is all about teamwork, support, and a focus on keeping customers happy, with plenty of chances to learn and grow professionally.


Your day, as a service engineer, starts with planning and organizing tasks. You'll be hands-on, servicing and maintaining booster sets, pump stations, and sewage treatment plants both on-site and in the workshop. This means diving into repairs and assessments while keeping a sharp focus on health and safety protocols. Communication is key as you collaborate with customers, onsite teams, and management to ensure everything runs smoothly. You'll craft detailed job reports to track your progress and maintain compliance with our procedures. Your role is all about using your mechanical and electrical skills to solve problems and support MegaGroup's mission of providing reliable water solutions worldwide.

Your responsibilities:

  • Service and maintain booster sets, pump stations, sewage treatment plants, and related equipment onsite and in the workshop.
  • Perform thorough risk assessments for each job and communicate concerns effectively.
  • Provide feedback on parts used to ensure efficient task completion.
  • Liaise with customers, onsite teams, and management.
  • Occasionally stay away from home when necessary for job requirements.
  • Uphold high health and safety standards at all times.
  • Produce clear, concise job reports and complete required documentation.

  • Job requirements

    What you bring:

  • Relevant BTEC or NVQ Level 3 in mechanical or electrical engineering.
  • Experience in pump installation and maintenance.
  • Ability to troubleshoot pump-related issues.
  • Comfort working in low/medium risk confined spaces (full training provided).
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with customers and team members.
  • Flexibility for occasional overnight stays as required.
  • Mechanical and electrical engineering qualifications preferred.
